Sheepwash Cottage is perfect to get away from it all and yet be close to the Peak District, it is an excellent location for walking, running and cycling. A network of footpaths connect the cottage and the village to the High Peak Trail and beyond. There is also easy access to the Carsington Water circular route.
Directions to the Cottage
Carsington village is situated off the B5053 between Ashbourne and Wirksworth.
If coming from Ashbourne, follow the signs to Carsington Water. Then take a left turn into Carsington Village, opposite Sheepwash car park. Approximately 100 metres after turning take the first turning on the right down Back Lane. Sheepwash Cottage is behind Wash Farm on the corner, approximately 100 metres down Back Lane.
If coming from the Wirksworth direction, take the second signposted turning to Carsington on the right. It comes after driving alongside Carsington Water on the left. Take a right turn into Carsington Village, opposite Sheepwash car park. Approximately 100 metres after turning take the first turning on the right down Back Lane. Sheepwash Cottage is behind Wash Farm on the corner, approximately 100 metres down Back Lane.
