The cottage is ideally located for cycling, walking, trail running, climbing and fishing or a weekend away from it all. There is a footpath from Sheepwash Cottage linking directly with Carsington Water. Footpaths from the village connect to nearby villages and also the High Peak Trail.

The High Peak Trail is a multi user off road path. It connects with the World Heritage Site at Cromford and the Tissington trail leading you down to Ashbourne.

The cottage has a downstairs shower room which is perfect after a wet or muddy day out. Plus a washing machine for essential kit washing! An outside tap to hose down bikes and secure storage are available on request.
